…again rain drops drummed on my roof of my car during the night, but this sound was very used to me, because while doing camping all the years on our spot in Austria we had lots of rainy days. The drumming sound made me really sleepy and i had a very good night. Even better was to wake up in the morning, peeping through the window and see the morning sun rising, followed by a rainbow. So got my morning wash at the beach park which was opened now and met a local who did the same and we started small talk. He explained me then where to get the camping permissions and i have to got to the Wai’anapapana State Park, it’s the most beautiful on this island. I drove there and got my permission for 4 nights, starting from tomorrow. Another night in the car? no worries, i like it now. With this good feeling i decided to do a beach day and might should try surfing on my own, so that i will not totally blame me when i’m going surfing with Anna and Alex on O’ahu. In Lahaina i rented a board for $25 a day and drove to the spot where i got my first brai, because i spotted there some beginners who tried surfing there. So why not drying it on my own there. As i went into the water, which wasn’t deep, just like 1,5m and really rocky and with lots of corals on the ground, i paddled out and got somehow the first small wave. I was so happy with this, that i didn’t try to get up and surfed to the beach while laying on the board. Wow, nice feeling, i like it. But this short happing was stopped because from then it was near impossible for me to some more waves like this. Paddling, paddling, paddling, paddling, but none of them hit like the first one. Sadly after 30 minutes i felt from the board and cut my hand on corals under the water. Well prepared i had an spray for wounds like this, so i did a short break and then headed on. I wasn’t sad about that, because it was like what i expected. Only a fool would think to be better on his first try without a teacher. Finally i rewarded my self again on the same BBQ with a steak. Yummy. This was the last night in the car, because i rented me for this night in a hostel, because i needed power and wifi internet for my laptop to book at 11pm my tickets for AfrikaBurn. While waiting i wrote one of my longest posts and put a lot of energy in this. Okay, time to buy tickets, but that totally failed. Why? It was sold out within minutes. By the way, it was about 400-500 ms from Maui till South Africa. 500ms, to respond the server with the tickets to me. Fail! It was impossible for me to get an ticket, because during these 500ms a lot of tickets where gone. The page showed me the selection that i can choose tickets, but when selected there was an pop-up window coming, that in the meantime the booking button isn’t available anymore. Doh! I was now a bit frustrated, to hit the reload button for the next 45 minutes to might snatch a ticket and always have the same issue, selecting one ticket, pop-up. Okay, last year few weeks before AB, there where always lots of people posting on FB that they have tickets left over. Maybe i get my ticket on this way, because i wanna bring my art from New Zealand to South Africa. Somehow the playa will provide it. Okay, time to upload my post, but what happened? It was broken, totally broken. Almost everything was gone, somehow the auto saving broke stripped the text to the first 10%, gone! Even the revision didn’t worked an only showed a white page. What todo? Write all that long story again? NO? Yes? I really was pissed on an thought about stopping to waste time and write an blog. Frustrated i went to bed and in mind to talk with my sister on my next morning if there is an way to restore it…(2014/12/18)
