(2015/02/25) … backed and back on the road, this morning a very curve road, through the Grampians National Park. This was a very nice and a good variety to the already used long and straight roads. As i bought the new Gopro Hero4 for my trip in Australia, i always played around with pictures, movies and time elapse captures during the ride. This road was now a good try to capture it on a movie and i got some really cool records. We skipped the short hike at the lookout at the top because sadly the weather was really cloudy until we reached the end of the valley again. On a short stop to buy supplies at an Aldi store in Horsham i found some Dollar (Singapure or Hongkonk, lost somewhere in my backpack, have to check that later again) on the parking lot, which i might can buy a beer when i’m there for a short stopover on my way to Japan or Johannesburg. If you are riding a bike in temperatures about 30-45 degrees, you really think about where or IF to stop for taking a picture.
In Red Cliffs we stopped at Big Lizzie, a giant old Car/Truck/Train from 1915 which was used to transport goods over the country. The wheels had their own rails attached, which looked very fancy and i immediately had an picture of an cool art-car for a burn in my mind. Our final destinations for the days are usually camping grounds with toilettes, showers and electric power for charging up our devices. Todays campground in Buronga was near the river, but we preferred to cool down in the pool…
