…this post ist dedicated to “Schadi” aka. “Chaot”, less text, more pictures. Arrived on Sunday in Santa Barbara, i checked the weather forecast for the next days and sadly noticed that the only good day will be Monday with clouds and a bit sun. For the other days rain and more rain. So i decided to finish my travel on Highways One (or named PCH Pacific Coast Highway), which i already “pre-viewed” in 2009/2011 but only from San Francisco till Santa Cruz. I left the 101 highway in Los Alamos (attention not to mistake with the Los Alamos in New Mexico) and headed to San Louis where i started the interesting part of H1. Via Monterey, Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay to Fishermans Warf in San Francisco. Luckily a burner friend, Maja from Switzerland, wrote me that she is currently in San Francisco and we made a date for a short dinner at Fishermans warf. The way back to Santa Barbra was direct via Interstate 101. Here some short details:
- 705 miles / 1134 km in one day
- 9:00 am – 1:20 am = 16h 20min
- gas, ca $60 regular (normal Benzin)
- Toyota Yaris
- best part: San Louis to Monterey
- worth to stop over there on campgrounds with an RV.
- motorbikers heaven (only when dry)
- felt asleep within a minute when back in bed
