Melbourne-Darwin Day 2 / Cape Otway – Halls Gap, 324km

Screen Shot 2015-03-02 at 13.33.34(2015/02/24) … i’m not gonna bore you on the next posts with the daily ritual of getting up, but here is the daily program. Getting up at 7am, packing and breakfast at about 8am, briefing at about 8:30am with packing the last stuff and finally get on the road at about 9am-10am. Usually there is no need for an alarm clock, because nature wakes you up or buddies who are already awake. Continuing the Great Ocean Road, we passed the Twelve Apostles (which are about seven now, because some of them where already destroyed by nature), Loch Ard Gorge and the London Bridge (which isn’t really bridge anymore, because nature also destroyed one of the natural stone bows). Todays goal was Halls Gap in the Grampians National Park, which we arrived  in a good time. Oh wait, don’t forget to check your oil every night, BEFORE you park your bike otherwise you have to drive another 10km to get a proper value of the level. This day we recognised already that there where two in our group who was already late for the second time on the second day. Wildlife was also present at this campground, Kangaroos which came very close to us…
